What makes us different
Peter Rhodes is a dedicated electrical qualified person, who has had 40 years’ experience in Substation Project Management / Construction / headed large HV technical testing sections / involved in commissioning Australasia's largest HV projects / highly competent in HV Switchgear / Cables / Transformers / GIS Switchgear / System Operations. The service we offer
We form long-term relationships with our clients and work closely with both the management of each company and the maintenance superintendents and/or asset managers over the life of the HV asset concerned. We regularly issue technical "Smarts" on how to extend the asset in various sections such as the mining field / refinerys / wind farms / thermal, coal and hydro / airports, along with line companies. We also work closely with graduate engineers who are promoted to an area that looks after HV assets, and provide practical and achievable advice on how best to provide a safe, cost-effective and reliable means of meeting production targets. This is critical with the introduction of Arc Flash Control.
Partnerships and contractors
On-Line Partial Discharge testing is a highly specialised area, and it is not possible to gain a huge depth of knowledge quickly. It takes years of experience and networking over time to acquire the knowledge and become highly proficient at providing advice on what is actually faulty and on how to resolve pending failures. To assist HV contractors to provide a complete service to their clients, we provide a specialised service and work as part of the HV contractor team. This gives the HV contractor the benefit of having a specialised contractor on-board on a "use-as-required basis." Having a trusted partner adds value to the service the contractor provides. We are based in the hub of Australasia's growth area so able to respond quickly to customer’s needs.
